The GWC Thermostatic Mixing Valve

The fastest, easiest and safest way to stop Legionella

Legionella bacteria in a water system can lead to a risk of people contracting Legionnaires' disease. This is a serious form of pneumonia that can have fatal consequences.

Legionella grows and multiplies in a building water system. Water containing Legionella can spread in droplets small enough for people to breathe in.

What kills Legionella?

It needs to live in a temperature range of between 20 and 50˚C, above 50˚C it will start to die off. Flushing your system with hot (above 60˚C) water will kill off Legionella.

The GWC TMV makes this system faster and easier than ever before.

Why is the GWC TMV your first choice?

  • Flush hot and cold water systems at the same time
  • No extra or replacement parts required
  • Can easily be part of routine maintenance

How to flush your water system to kill Legionella

  1. Isolate the hot and cold water valve
  2. Remove cover cap and cover, followed by the valve cartridge. Then insert the blanking plug with the screws provided.
  3. Turn the hot water valve on only and run the hot water for at least 5min
  4. Insure all tempered and cold taps are turned on downstream.
  5. No extra replacement parts required to complete this procedure
  6. Can easily be part of routine maintence

Why buy GWC Valves?

One piece

Traditional tempering valves are made up of multiple fittings to complete installation. The GWC Valve is simple and functional with no additional materials required.

Easy installation and testing

The GWC Valve can be installed at the pipe installation stage, where it can be pressure tested with the provided test cap.

Installs correctly every time

The functional design of the GWC Valve removes the possibility of human error as it can only be fitted one way.

Safer and more reliable

The GWC Valve is engineered to incorporate extra fail-safe seals and cannot be removed.

Compact

Due to its compact size and design, the GWC Valve can be placed behind walls or cabinets, creating discrete options for installation.

Fully serviceable

Meets all regulations and codes.
